Brazilian soldiers are stuck with three tons of marijuana in a truck of the Armed Forces

Three soldiers from the Army were arrested in the early hours of last Sunday (28) by men of the São Paulo State Civil Police. They were caught carrying 3 tons of marijuana in a truck of the Armed Forces. The blatant occurred in the SP-101 highway, in the Campinas region.

According to police the State Department of Prevention and Suppression of Drug Trafficking (Denarc), there was a exchange of fire with three Army soldiers who were in the truck. The soldiers Higor Abdala Costa Attene and Maykon Coutinho Coelho, members of the 20th Armored Cavalry Regiment, based in Campo Grande, were arrested at the time. The soldier Simon Raul, of the same regiment, was wounded and managed to escape, but was captured later in the neighboor city of Limeira.

The truck came from Mato Grosso do Sul and was being followed by a civilian car, which would also have participated in the shooting. Two other men were arrested.

Sought, the area of Public Relations of the Brazilian Army confirmed that the three soldiers are arrested and said that "given the gravity of the fact, that dishonor the institution and affects our society," the soldiers will be expelled from the Army.

The Army said that will be established a military police investigation to the investigation of all the facts and responsibilities, and will ask available to the police of São Paulo to assist in investigations.
